The current definition
Correct is the fourth Law: a belief, behavior, interpretation, structure, trajectory, or relationship changes when comparison reveals meaningful misalignment.
Correction is not punishment, coercion, humiliation, or automatic repentance.
Change responds to what comparison exposes
The cook changes seasoning, timing, or preparation. If the problem concerns another person, truthful correction may require acknowledgment, repair, changed conduct, or a new arrangement. Naming a flaw and correcting it are different acts.
Change need not erase everything
Correction can preserve sound elements, refine a lesser attainment, and release a distorted form. It need not reject a person or claim every earlier contribution was worthless. Consequences may remain even when correction is sincere.
Carry the question into your life
What specifically needs to change, and what is sound enough to carry forward?
This meal is an editorial teaching illustration. The Laws describe related functions that can recur and overlap; they are not a rigid timetable imposed on every event.
Editorial exposition grounded in the model’s September reference, working definitions, and reconciliation record. Illustrations explain the relationships; they are not additional ratified laws. See source versions and scope ↗
