The current definition
Combine is the first Law: distinct elements enter sufficient relationship, proximity, or coordination for interaction to become possible.
It does not imply forced union, destiny, consent, covenant, or loss of identity.
A relationship makes interaction possible
Ingredients, equipment, skill, and available time come into relation for a meal. Each remains distinct; their coordination permits a new result. In a human undertaking, the corresponding first question concerns actual willingness, permission, and provision.
Presence is not consent
People occupying the same room have encountered one another; they have not automatically entered a shared commitment. Bringing them into relationship calls for attention to how they can actually participate.
Carry the question into your life
What is being brought into relation, and what permission or condition makes that relation legitimate?
This meal is an editorial teaching illustration. The Laws describe related functions that can recur and overlap; they are not a rigid timetable imposed on every event.
Editorial exposition grounded in the model’s September reference, working definitions, and reconciliation record. Illustrations explain the relationships; they are not additional ratified laws. See source versions and scope ↗
