The current definition
Converge is ninth in the full Nine: developed persons, capacities or elements enter higher-order coherent relationship while preserving meaningful distinction and generating further capacity or possibility.
No reabsorption, forced unity, compulsory reunion or erasure of personhood. Shared visibility is not universal salvation or identical personal alignment.
Distinct contributions form a coherent whole
Different people, skills, and resources become a functioning community meal. Their distinct contributions remain meaningful, and the undertaking creates opportunities none could provide alone. The resulting capacity opens a further encounter: another need, relationship, or creative possibility.
Unity preserves the person
Convergence is not forced sameness, compulsory reunion, or the absorption of one person into another. A shared undertaking remains accountable to truth, consent, and legitimate stewardship. New comparison and correction can still occur.
Carry the question into your life
What new possibility has become available, and how are the participants’ distinctions preserved?
